I feel like my answer to this one could be pretty similar to the ‘what makes you feel accomplished’ prompt but in the spirit of providing a different response, I would define success as being fulfilled.
The times in my life when I’ve felt success are times that I’ve had true happiness. There are a variety of different things that bring me happiness; of course, my family, the gospel, temple attendance, serving those around us, gratifying/close relationships… blah, blah, blah. Most recently, I would say success (for me) is anything that brings our family financial freedom. Money, (for me) can indeed buy happiness! 🙌🏻
Thanks for your answer! It is similar to the "what makes you feel accomplished" question and I almost didn't add it to the list. But then I thought that the accomplished question was more about a short-term or immediate sense of being. Whereas success was more long-term focused. Either way, I enjoyed reading your answer!
I have thought about this question a lot over the past year actually. I used to think that success included being a "good" person - honest, trustworthy, with a good reputation. But success also was synonymous with job success - title and pay. Before work it was defined by schooling; and so on.
We grow up and navigate the world based on other people's definitions of things, success being one of those things. And as I have aged and matured, I am learning to define things for myself and what I want success to mean for me.
At the end of December, I wrote in my journal and one of my entries was titled: How will I measure success going forward? I defined it as this: - Amount of hurry and anxiety I DON'T feel (which is different from stress & pressure which serve a purpose - hurry & anxiety do not) - The amount of service & generosity I am willing to give - My attitude & judgements of others (or rather the amount of grace I give to others) - My level of health (am I prioritizing & nurturing my mental & physical health) - How kindly do I speak to myself - My ability to maintain my daily spiritual practices - Am I decreasing & limiting my time on social media - Am I feeling inspired? On anything - creativity, thoughts from the Holy Ghost, etc.

Annie! I love the way you measure success are all things that you have control over. Brilliant!
